RIGHT FRONT - Work same as left front, reversing all shapings.
FRONT BANDS - Using smaller needles and Jeannee DK with RS facing you, beginning at lower right edge, pick up 140 (150, 160, 170) stitches including stitches from back neck. Work 4 rows g st. Bind off.
Heel Turn:
Row 1: P20, p2tog. p1, turn.
Row 2: Sl1, k8 ssk, turn.
Row 3: Sl1, p8, p2tog, turn
Repeat rows 2 & 3 until all stitches are used up.
End working row 2. 10 sts remain.
Gusset
Rounds now start at the center of the sole of the foot. Divide heel sts, so that there are 5 sts on each needle.
Armhole Shaping (RS): Bind off 5 sts at the beginning of next 2 rows. 30, (32, 34, 38, 42) sts.
Decrease 1 st at each end of every other row 6, (7, 8, 9, 10) times, then bind off 4, (4, 4, 5, 6) sts at the beginning of next 2 rows.
Bind off remaining 10 sts.
Finishing
Block pieces to measurements.
Sew shoulder seams. Ease sleeves into armhole. Sew side and sleeves seams.
Sleeves
With A, CO 26 sts. Beg Wave Patt, and work 2 rows of A, 2 rows of B, 2 rows of A, and 2 rows of C.
Change to A, and work Rows 1-10 of Lace Patt.
Beg Wave Patt, and work 2 rows of A, 2 rows of B, 2 rows of A, and 2 rows of C.
Cont with A, and beg Stockinette St Patt, and inc 1 st each side on next row and then every sixth row 0 (1, 5, 7, 7) times, every eighth row 2 (4, 1, 0, 0) times, then every tenth row 2 (0, 0, 0, 0) times—36 (38, 40, 42, 42) sts.
Shape Armhole:
Bind off 5 (5, 6, 8) sts at beg of next RS row. Then dec 1 st at armhole edge of next 5 rows.
40 (45, 49, 52) sts.
Work even until armhole measures 2 (2, 3, 3)” ending with a RS row.
Add Pockets:
Next RS row, Knit to last 30 sts. Switch to smallest needles and work on next 26 sts on this needle. Turn work and cont in St. St. until pocket lining measures 11”. End with a WS row. Fold piece down to meet up with first sts in waiting. Continue across knitting the 26 sts from small needle onto large needle.
Row 13: Rib 28, k2tog, k2, p2, k3, yo, rib 24 (34, 44, 54, 64), yo, k3, p2, k2, ssk, rib 28.
Row 15: Rib 27, k2tog, k2, p2, k3, yo, rib 26 (36, 46, 56, 66), yo, k3, p2, k2, ssk, rib 27.
Right Front
Cast on 88, (100, 110, 122) sts. Working in garter stitch, knit for 1”. Work in st st for remainder of front-Slipping the first stitch of every knit row.
When piece measures 13”, (13 ½, 14, 14 ½), work armhole shaping on a WS Row.
Armhole Shaping (WS): Bind off 5 sts, purl to end of row. 83, (95, 105, 117). sts
Decrease 1 st at armhole edge every other row 7, (9, 11, 13) times. 76, (86, 94, 104) sts.
Work even in st st until armhole measures 8”, (8 ½, 9, 9 ½), ending with a WS Row.
Plain Capelet
After Decrease Round 7: *k8, k2tog, ssk; rep from *
Continue in st st until capelet measures 16 ½”.
Bind off all 40 sts very loosely. Weave in
all ends.
Gauge: 14 sts, 24 rows = 4” using size 9 needles over stockinet stitch, cable pattern gauge is 16 sts=3”
