Sleeves
With size 9 knitting needles, Cast on 38 sts. Work in 2x2 ribbing for 2”. Switch to size 10 ½ knitting needles. Purl across row, placing 2 markers to mark the center 16 sts.

Front Right
With smaller needles, cast on 49 (53, 56, 60) sts.
In St st, work five rows. This creates a rolled hem.
Switch to larger needles.
On RS,* K1, P1,* repeat two more times, continue in st st across the row. This creates a vertical rib edging extending down the front of the cardigan.
Continue this 6-stitch 1x1 rib along the front edge, every row.
Side Shaping
Decrease 1 stitch on right side, every 8th row 1x.
Decrease 1 stitch on right side, every 10th row 3x.
Increase 1 stitch on right side, every 10th row 4x.
FRONT WAISTBAND AND COLLAR
With US 10½ needles, RS facing, join yarn at bottom edge of right side seam.
For the Peaches 'n Cream afghan, row 16 is as follows:

Change to larger needles and cable pattern:
Row 1 & 5(RS): (P1, k4) 1 (0, 1, 0) time, *(p1, k4[cable section], p1, k4[ladder section]); repeat from * to 5 sts before center st, p1, k4[cable], purl center st, k4[cable], p1, **(k4[ladder section], p1, k4[cable section], p1); repeat from ** to last 5 (0, 5, 0) sts; ending with k4[ladder section], p1 for the first and third sizes.
Neck
With size 8 knitting needles, cast on 32, (34, 38) sts.
Work in 1x1 ribbing for 1 ½”.
Switch to st st, larger needle, and setup row as follows:

HAT:
With the larger size 16” circular needle, cast on 56 sts, place marker, and join, being careful not to twist the stitches. Work 2.5” of 1x1 ribbing. Change to st st until total length is 8.5”, ending at the marker.
SLEEVES:
Rows 1 to 10 incl form patt for the 3 smaller sizes only, noting inc at each end of 5th and 9th rows.
Cont in patt (working extra sts into stocking st), inc one st (as before) at each end of fall 4th rows from previous inc until there are 64 (64-70-68-72-72) sts, then in fall 6th rows until there are 76 (76-78-84-88-88) sts.
Cont (without further inc) until work measures 15¾”, (15 ¾, 15 ¾, 17 ¾, 17 ¾, 17 ¾) from beg, working last row wrong side.
