CROCHET SHELL FLOWER BABY AFGHAN
This is a fast and easy baby afghan. SIZE: 24x36”.
MATERIALS: 4 Skeins of Plymouth Fantasy Naturale (100 gr.), Size H hook, or size needed for gauge.
GAUGE: 4 sc = 1”.
Shell Flower Pattern
Multiple of 6 + 4
Row 1 (Right Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch; ch 3 turn.
Row 2: Sk next 4 sc, in next sc work (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc): shell made; *sk next 5 sc, in next sc work (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc): shell made; rep from * across to last sc; dc in last sc; ch 3, turn.
Row 3: Make a shell in ch-2 sp of each shell across to turning ch; dc in 3rd ch of turning ch-3; ch 3 turn.
Repeat row 3 for pattern.
Using one strand of Fantasy Naturale and H hook, chain 64. Work in pattern stitch for 30”, you will have 10 shells across each row. Do not cut yarn. Begin border: ch1, do not turn work. Work 1 sc in last dc and continue working sc in each dc and dc space along edge of blanket, sl st to 1st sc, ch 1, sc in same sc and in each sc along edge, working 3 sc in each corner. Continue to work in rounds for border, working a total of 6 rounds. Work 1 round of reverse single crochet around entire edge, sl st and fasten off.
