Repeat these 2 rows twice more.

On the next row purl across to the 18 st panel of Twisted Rib decreasing  3 sts in that purl section, working the twisted rib as established.
After the Twisted Rib panel, purl all sts to the end of the row, decreasing 3 more sts.

From this point, you will be working 36, (41, 46, 51, 56) sts in stockinette on either side of the 18 st panel in twisted rib.

When work measures 11,” (11½, 12, 12½, 13)” from the beginning, shape cap sleeves:
Cast on 3 sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows.
Continuing in pattern as established, increase 1 st at each end every 4th row 4 times.

When armhole measures 7,” (7½, 8, 8½, 9) and you have completed a wrong side row, shape neckline as follows:
Row 1:  K37, (41, 45, 49, 53) sts. Attach a new ball of yarn and bind off 27 (33, 31, 33, 35) sts, decreasing 3 sts as you work across the panel and work to the end. 37(41, 45, 49, 53) sts on each side.
