FREE PATTERN Oh My!

Oh My!

Love You Momma, Chemo Hat

My Mom was an elementary school teacher but her best teaching was with her family. My sisters and I learned to love each other, laugh at ourselves and each other, dream with each other and we learned to knit.

In May 2006, my sisters and I realized something was medically wrong with Momma. Test confirmed she had lung cancer which had spread. I designed this chemo hat in anticipation of her needing it and because I wanted to do what I could to help and support her. I gave her the hat but she was never able to wear it. She passed away June 24, 2006. This pattern is dedicated to my Mom.
